Pediatric dermatology
Children are more vulnerable to skin disorders (from birth to teenage). This is because child’s skin is more sensitive than adults. Most of the skin disorders are not serious but few must be dealt promptly. Most commonly observed skin disorders include skin rashes, ringworm infections, hives, warts, vascular birthmarks, eczema, psoriasis, skin allergies, contact dermatitis. Pediatric dermatology involves diagnosis and treatment of skin infections.
